Background History
The Apostles of Unlimited Love Sisters is a Diocesan Congregation of Kayanga Catholic Diocese, founded by the Late Bishop Christopher Mwoleka in 1987.
In 1996 Bishops Severine NiweMugizi was appointed to take care of the Diocese of Rulenge. He received and continued to form the Religious Congregation of the Apostles of Unlimited Love Sisters (RCAULS). He also saw the need to continue forming it more fully in accordance with the demands of Canon Law as regards the religious life. He therefore requested the Religious Congregation of Sisters of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus from Bukoba Catholic Diocese, to help in the continuation of forming the Congregation towards its maturity and self–reliance.
On August 14th, 2008, Bishop Almachius Vincent Rweyongeza was appointed to be the first Bishop of Kayanga Catholic Diocese, the Diocese which was dismembered from the Diocese of Rulenge.
The Religious Congregation of the Apostles of Unlimited Love Sisters (RCAULS) is now found in the young Diocese of Kayanga.
On 25th November, 2014 we elected our leaders for ourselves at the first time when we conducted our first General Chapter of our Congregation. Currently we have Congregational leaders who were elected in the Second General Chapter by the year 2019 according to our Constitution.
Now the Congregation is expanding whereby, at this moment we are ninety-nine (99) Professed nuns and fifty-nine (59) candidates in different stages of formation.
The Head-quarter of the Congregation is located at Bushangaro Parish found in Kayanga Catholic Diocese at Kagera Region in Tanzania-East Africa. We have ten Convents in our Diocese and two Convents working outside our Diocese. We have one inclusive school. Also, we have two formation houses located in our Diocese.
